 In the Police-Beat section of today's paper a "Wanted" person named Douglas Alan Brown was profiled and is currently wanted for felony jewelry theft and for pawning stolen jewelry. He apparently stole over $30K of jewelry from a residence in Queen's Harbor and pawned it. Four months ago he applied to be a tenant of our's in San Marco.
He looked great and very responsible and paid the app fee and turned in the paperwork immediately. His credit was a little spotty which he mentioned. The clerk of the courts site, however, revealed a number of judgements and we decided not to approve him. I left him a voice mail informing him and he sent me a scathing email defending his position and attacking us for rejecting him. Now he is wanted by JSO and is missing.
